Hi, I’m Gavin. I’m a forty-something office-worker and carer from Wales trying to fill the time in between with photography and writing about things that fascinate me.

Over the years I’ve been into playing the guitar, drums and being in a band during my teens and early 20s; building PCs; linux and generally being a nerd in my late 20s and early 30s, then cycling long distances and taking photographs in my late 30s and early 40s.

I have a tendency to jump into these pursuits with both feet, sometimes to the extent where I lose track of time and the world around me. Three years later I’ve usually attained some sort of competence in whatever that is, but then something else comes along.

By some luck, these pursuits have in many ways coalesced into something resembling a reasonably well-rounded creative person. Lately I’ve been itching to get back into playing music, but perhaps that’s one to add to the list…

Lately I’ve been juggling full time work whilst caring for someone with MS. I spend the time in between in the woods, walking around with my camera and seeing what I can find.
